Fullsteam’s Igor

I enjoyed the hell out of this one.

This is Fullsteam’s Igor – a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout. It’s got a B+ on Beer Advocate right now, which I don’t think is a good reflection of how good this beer was.  It’s by far my favorite Fullsteam beer from a gamut of options.

What I liked the best was a sweet, caramel flavor that perfectly balanced a light flavor of bourbon. I’ve had bourbon beers in the past where that was the obvious focus, but this brew was made to have everything balanced. It’s easily one of my favorite bourbon beers.

And on top of all this, it’s got a hell of a logo too.
